The Trilogy at Vistancia Golf Club is the latest-greatest public golf course to hit the Northwest Valley. Vistancia is part of the Trilogy brand owned by Shea Homes and managed by Intrawest Golf, which also oversees the Raven brand.
Gary Panks the dean of Arizona architects built a very traditional golf course with the only trapping being its fescue-lined fairways. Hit it straight, you will love it. Hit it in the tall grass, it's a long day. And with holes that range from 137 to 608 yards, every club in the bag is required.
The front nine are tame compared to the final nine, as Panks slowly works a player into the flow. The key to any player's success is the par-3s, as three of the four ramble on for over 200 yards. The signature offerings are the par-5 ninth and 18th holes, where a player must work his way up, over and around--- and past the water-to large greens, another Trilogy at Vistancia golf trademark.
